Certain Channels "Stuttering"/Pixelating : Comcast

Only certain channels during certain times = not hardware related in my book. Of course, when the tech came out, he refused to go up on a ladder and look at the lines at the source. Instead, he looked at the back of the house and inside.

Resolving pixelation issue on certain channels : Comcast

This is also same issue on the channels 3-digit counterparts (202 and up). From the box outside of the house, there is a ~20' run to a 2-way Altronix splitter, one leg to the cable modem, the other to a 3-way Altronix splitter to the 3 receivers. HDTV channels pixelate and stutter. Unwatchable - Xfinity

This could be caused by a weak signal, which can affect only certain channels. Check the connections to the cable box, especially the incoming coax, and eliminate any unnecessary splitters. To check signal strength with a Motorola box, tune to the offending channel, turn off the box with the remote, then within two seconds hit "OK/Select."

Pixelation problems on only some channels at certain time

Pixelation is the rationale of a weak sign, or interference. It probably the fault of the distinct channel - probably their gear is having issues. However it maybe FIOS' fault. When I still had Comcast, the cable infrastructure in my discipline used to be very dangerous so lots of their channels did not come properly.

Pixelation on X1 : Comcast_Xfinity. Reddit.com I'm a tech and generally when we see pixelation, 95% of the time it's because of bad coax. Only other things that would make that happen is a bad box or bad connector. It'll be real easy to tell if it's the line though, the tech just needs to run a BER test on his meter and he'll be able to see the correctable and uncorrectable errors coming
