HideAway knives | The High Road

(1 month ago) If you can find one, I like the collaboration knife of Mickey Yurco claw. Regarding carry recommendations, I am not a big fan of around the neck carry or bra carry (not that I wear a bra ) aka as any type of carry method that would take a long time to bring into action. To me the best system for a HAK is the Rip cord carry method.

(15 day ago) wear a 1.5" belt all the time. Here are a couple carry methods that do not rely on a belt Even on pants that I'd like to modify to take a gun belt, you need to be able to sew really well to reset a waistband and extend belt loops. Here are a couple carry methods that do not rely on a belt:

(11 day ago) Deployment is a quick yank. See "Sheaths" for feedback on deployment times and carry methods. Day-to-day in your favorite carry method, it is light enough to forget about it until you need it. With this knife, your wrist does not have to be canted at a weakened off angle to hold the knife straight out like it does with almost every other knife.

(1 month ago) The other problem, is that most of the belt-required carry options are far bigger and clunkier than what is necessary. If I could strap a big knife on to my thigh and not get fired or cause a public disturbance, I would! Because bigger is better, right? But I can't. Also that would give up the element of surprise.

Hideaway Holsters: 8 Ways to Covertly Carry Your Weapon

(7 day ago) Hideaway Holsters: 8 Ways to Covertly Carry Your Weapon – Small Of The Back Carry Placing a holster in the small-of-back (SOB) position has been a popular option since the 1950s. A TV detective carrying there would regularly be patted down by bad guys who would miss the gun, something unlikely in real life.

High or Low Carry Methods - Sunrise River Custom Knives

(16 day ago) #6 High or Low Carry Methods A very old method of carrying large knives, like Bowies, was to simply stick the sheath into ones waist sash. Tighening up the sash or belt, kept it in place. For added security, a “Sam Brown Button Stud” attached to the front of the sheath, rested on top of the sash or belt.

(1 month ago) "FrontSight assures me that several very reputable sheath makers are working on designs for the carry of this knife in alternate locations, so don't feel that you are trapped into one method of carry. Personally, I feel that a small, IWB-style sheath would be an excellent alternative.
